Overview:

We are looking for a System Analyst to join a product team working on a PCI DSS certified payment gateway. This role is a great fit for someone with strong technical background in API integrations and payment systems, who enjoys turning complex business needs into clear and structured technical solutions.

Purpose of the role:

As a System Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing payment provider APIs, designing integration approaches, and preparing high-quality technical documentation.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and operational teams to deliver solutions that improve payment performance, reliability, and overall transaction success across different markets.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze payment provider APIs and workflows, including systems like PayPal, Stripe, and similar platforms
• Design integration approaches and prepare detailed technical specifications based on business and product requirements
• Collaborate closely with engineers, QA, architects, product managers, and internal teams such as PSP operations and treasury
• Translate business needs into clear, structured, and feasible technical solutions
• Contribute to improving payment success rates, security, and system efficiency
• Participate in peer reviews to ensure high quality and consistency of documentation
• Maintain and continuously improve documentation to ensure it stays clear, up to date, and easily accessible for all teams

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a System Analyst or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of payment systems and basic banking processes
• Hands-on experience with API integrations and writing technical specifications
• Good knowledge of RESTful APIs and best practices in API design
• Experience with BPMN and UML diagrams (sequence, use case, state machine, class diagrams)
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Experience working with data models and designing logical database structures
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech or payment-related products
• Understanding of PCI DSS, KYC, AML, GDPR or other regulatory standards
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design
• Experience with tools like Postman, DevTools, and JSON editors
