We are looking for a Middle Python Developer to join a team working on a flight booking system for one of our TravelTech clients.
We're building a dedicated Supply operations team to keep the flight search and booking engine running smoothly. This is a hands-on, operationally focused role where you'll work through a Kanban-style workflow, responding to real issues that directly affect travellers and airline partners.
Working language: English (90%)
Hybrid work readiness - open to visiting the office 1–2 times per week for in-person team collaboration.
Technical stack you will be working with:
Python · Git · ELK · Grafana
What you'll do:
- Investigate and fix bugs in airline integrations — the connectors that make virtual interlining actually work
- Troubleshoot search and booking errors, from landing failures to price mismatches, and get them resolved
- Onboard new suppliers onto our platforms and keep existing integrations healthy
- Respond to rising error rates and degraded metrics before they become bigger problems
- Work through a steady flow of incoming tickets from engineering teams, triaging and prioritising effectively
- Communicate directly with airlines and API providers to resolve integration issues, clarify specifications, and get things unblocked
- Down the road: own monitoring integrations, build new supplier connections, and support improvements to search quality
Skills and experience:
- You're fluent in English (B2 level)
- You've shipped and maintained production software in Python and know what it takes to keep things running, not just get them working
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL) - writing queries, debugging data issues, understanding schema structure
- You're comfortable digging into unfamiliar codebases and systems to find the root cause of a problem
- You can work independently through a queue of varied tasks without losing momentum or quality
- You communicate clearly and can work well across distributed teams
- You have a computer science, engineering, or related degree, or equivalent experience that speaks for itself
Nice to have
- Front-end skills
- Experience with AI development tools
- Experience working with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Kibana
If you like variety, enjoy digging into gnarly bugs, and get satisfaction from fixing things that matter — this might be for you.
